Hope all of you have had enough Christmas cake! Just checking why Snowynights_v3 has been replaced by V4?

The map maker recently uploaded a new version.

What is the issue with the new version?

 

oh is that why it's been played more recently? I swear I've seen it 3 times in the past week (way more than I usually see it)

 

To bad, they didnt fix the spam button on the race game.

I think it's starting to get popular because it's snowy for Xmas, etc... that's why people play it alot these days.

 

V4 was added to the map pool a year or two ago and got removed, idk why it was replaced again but I see it played less now because it's not as fun as V3.

V4 - Easier to command, harder to rebel, gun added to cells which just wastes time on rounds

V3 - Harder to command, easier to rebel, knifeable props (my personal preference is I actually like this, makes rounds more chaotic with t's), no guns in cell which means less time wasted each round

maps like vipinthemix and newsummer, both maps with shit all games but easy to rebel/harder to command makes them more popular and fun to play for both ct and t. V4 just 'fixed' the map that didn't need any fixes, was perfect as it was.

i dont nominate that shit anymore they even removed beegees - stayin alive from the airplane like wtf

 

My opinions echo krazykenn's post, I can't listen to my favorite pop songs in the plane or slice people in half by badly behaved doors. I would be grateful if the map was considered to be downgraded back to v3.

I laugh the hardest from that map than any others, i'm sorry to see it go to this 'politically correct' version

 

I'm sure the new version is different to the version added before. I personally think it's better. Songs don't make a jb map imo. It was never extremely popular right?

 

Not as popular as minecraft/lego etc of course, but still played relatively often, id say as much as airship or avalanche.

Personally I love the prop kill mechanic on snowynights which is why I nominate it a lot. I've had a lot of laughs on it, especially whilst knifing that pc monitor at people in medic, or killing people in the door.

If you're a noob commander who wants to learn how to command or if you're a t who doesn't know how to rebel with a knife and wants a chance to spawn in gun cells you might like this version, anyone else I think would prefer V3 for chaotic albeit simple and quick going rounds.

The new version makes the map a bit boring and took away what made V3 unique and fun for me.

I played the V4 version once and that was today, lemme tell you I would prefer the V3 version. Because it looks like its nerfed against the CTs for some weird reasons. Because ta gun-cell is added to this map, I don't see why its been added lel, this map was already T-sided. And the bad thing is like George said, teamkilling in cells ain't possible anymore, and the songs at the plane are changed.I loved the ones in the v3 version..
