Hey so ever since now, my attention span for story mode games has been so short I give up playing really early on and never complete them. Recently my attitude has changed and now I am looking for a list of games/ game series I should get myself into playing. I now start to realise I've been missing out on a lot of gameplay worth my while and want to change this. Old and new games are acceptable if I can get access to the old games. I'm interested in pretty much any game type so list them below and I'll concider them!
Undertale - Best to dive in it without knowing anything about it. Multiple endings, choices matter, re-playability, really funny, touches your feels. Not expensive. The Talos Principle - First person puzzle solving with amazing philosophy. One of the best games I've played. Much better than Portal 2 which was also good but doesn't come close. Not expensive atm since it's on discount.
Bioshock Infinite - amazing, honestly one of the best games I've played and has a brain bender of an ending. I'm usually one to skip through storylines but this one I actually wanted to watch cutscenes. Also Bioshock 1 and 2 (not the remastered versions) Outlast - If you can handle the jumpscare and horror aspect, this has a pretty interesting story. Depends if you can put up with walking around a dark mental asylum with nothing but the green nightvision from your camera. Crusader Kings 2 - Difficult at first but you sorta get used to it after a few trial and error games. Once you get in to it you can easily spend a full day playing, a bit like Civ 5 but more complex. Also recommend Europa Universalis IV if you like this. Then there's the obvious just incase you haven't played them, any Fallout game, any Elder Scrolls game (not online ones) been told the Witcher 3's amazing so that's on my bucket list. Also +1 for Life is strange, i'm only halfway through Ep 2 and I never want it to end. Definitely story based, more of a point and click decision game if you're into that.
Resident Evil 6, has a nice story line and dont get borred fast because its full of action. if you play Resident Evil 5 first you can understand the story line of the game.
Just finished the first episode of Life is Strange. Really liked it so far. The Stanley Parable and The Beginner's Guide are also worth looking into.
