Winrar is not free. PeaZip is free and supports rar files so forget winrar. Ninite is good software to help friends... not for your own PC... you install it the way you want, changing the options for file association, icons, directory etc.
I also recommend 'Stardock Fences' -- It helps keep your desktop clean and organised -- You can get a 30 day free trial and pay $9.99 for it afterwards, I think it's totally worth it. http://www.stardock.com/products/fences/
SMPlayer - http://smplayer.sourceforge.net/ A great media player and good alternative to VLC. I prefer it since it starts reasonably faster than VLC. Cygwin - https://www.cygwin.com/ Anyone appreciating Linux needs this in order not to go crazy when using Windows.
Paint.net, Like photoshop with less features, more simple, free and runs fast. http://www.getpaint.net/index.html
Mainly, you will want to use it when you work with the command line often. With Cygwin you get a proper terminal that can be used instead of the Windows command prompt. Also with Cygwin I can run all the scripts I use for Linux with Windows.
Have you checked out command line on Win10? its much better, keyboard shortcuts work etc. If not, you can try the more powerful PowerShell, comes default on Win10, PowerShell even has right-click paste feature like PuTTY. I already listed PuTTY for sshing into a remote Linux machine. Who needs Linux scripts on windows seriously...
Well, I'm used to Linux commands and applications so it makes more sense to resort to Cygwin rather than familiarizing myself with another software. Also I got everything in one place rather than having to install multiple applications 1 by 1. But it's just personal preference I guess. livestreamer - docs.livestreamer.io Really helped me with Twitch and its high CPU usage.
Flux is also a great piece of software. The colour of the screen changes depending on the time of day taking a lot of strain off your eyes when you're on the computer for a length of time. Especially if you are on it a lot in the afternoon. https://justgetflux.com/
Correct me if im wrong but https://popcorntime.io/ is the right website for popcorn time that one is a fake one
Does the original popcorntime work for you? It stopped working for me for a while and the other folk of popcorn time was working...
