We all know there are those mass freekillers, they are mostly brand new players coming just to cause a mess. What if.... a person had to have at least like 10 hours play of T / on Server, before going CT? (10 hours is just an "Example" btw) Luka
I agree, BUT if a person just joins for the first time, he doesn't know the rules, and that always results in freekills/mass-freekills. Sometimes the freekills are not on purpose, but they are freekills due to the player not knowing rules. Same as saying that a civilian should be able to be a cop right away............
Not really, there's two main reasons why this shouldn't happen. 1. Its harsh and branding the new players as harmful is a bit unfair to some of them. Some people adapt to new things by being thrown straight into it. A lot of people have common sense, some don't true, and this results in the "new players" baiting or free killing someone but anyone who joins and has common sense wouldn't just shoot all the T on sight or walk into the enemy team when the T team are weapon-less and standing still outside a cell. I've seen this a lot of times. People join straight to CT and say they've never played this before and been fine and adapted to CT quite well so to restrict it from new players is harsh. Yes this is rarer than people who join and don't know the rules, but they shouldn't be punished also. 2. Most important reason in my opinion; Its makes the server look very unwelcoming to new players. Thus losing potential new people to the community. You have to look at it like this, players make the server. If someone joins the game and plays T for 4 hours and wants to try give CT a go they are waiting 6 hours more (Example) its unfair on them. Why would they sit here and wait 6 hours longer when another server would let them go on it straight away. Thats a new player lost. You got to look at it from their point of view, would you stick around in a server when you're banned from a team for 10 hours and you want to give the other side ago but you still have 4 hours left? Its unfair to them in my opinion. It makes the server look very discouraging for new players to come give it a try because it makes the server look like its for people who have been there for a while, and we get stuck with the same CT day in day out because the spots look reserved since new players cant join the CT team. What happens when there is 10 new players playing late of a night at 2am or such and not one of them can join CT? Thats 10 people lost because they cant play at all. True, new players come in and can cause a bit of trouble, but its nothing we cant handle. Look how many JB admins their are there's pretty much an admin on constantly. Let them have their chance, it makes the server a lot more welcoming and friendly to new players
We have also in the past gotten people from other communities who are really good at commanding T's around. I wouldn't want to hinder the chance of that happening because when it's good, it's good.
