Yea, I think non steam players should try installing steam. Maybe just installing it might fix the voice. I just checked Steam files and found the codec in C:\Program Files\Steam\bin If you really want the sound. Steam is the way to go. I heard steam has cracks too. Non steam release group noobs should fix this... its not a server fault.. fucking idiots...
I tryed StarSteam before and my game just disappeared after a few days. I tryed SteamUP before and my game just disappeared after a few days. Olzo, I have a regular Steam with even legal "Portal" and more 2 source free games on it, but it doesen`t help to fix the problem because you can`t run nosteam CSS while running steam...
Its up to you if you dont wanna use steam css dude... You can wait for your non steam release group to fix this or stay like that forever... because valve has enabled the new codec by default on all servers.
Im not using Steam because: 1-Its fuckin` expensive in my country 2-I cannot buy it in stores, I should do it via net (i don`t have WMZ and stuff) 3-I already bought it ones in another country and when i got it, steam said "that key cannot be used in your country" (principal reason) I know you guys doesen`t care about it and its not your problem but still... kinda sad for me that i can`t play my favorite servers :\ Oh and I know it may be fixed in future, but who knows how much time it can take...
You game is stored inside the steamapps folder... maybe you deleted it by remove steam.. noob mistake...
BTW Im pretty sure that HLDJ team will just add to the program one simple audio driver that will stand first beside of the regular one (microphone) and will play audio files through 2 drivers so the game will think that microphone plays it, lol. (simple)
Before using steamup I deleted my regular nonsteam standalone version, then downloaded a new one through the setamup and played it for a few days, after those few days i just enter the steamup to lounch CSS and i see that all my games (5-7) just gone... i didn`t entered the original Steam, I didn`t delete anything. it just disappeared. After installing the games again it happened more.. and same with "StarSteam" I don`t think its a noob mistake because it happened more then 1 time...
loool.. eeuh got this from hldj.org If you're a server operator and would like to continue using HLDJ on your server, disable the new codec by setting sv_use_steam_voice 0. If you play on a server where HLDJ is an integral part of the fun, remind your server operator to do the same!

:rswear: that i love that people cant use HLDJ. So nice to be able to chill and chat with other people. Ive always hated music on css because of the quality though.
