With the new, upcoming server, there's been a bit of testing, so I had a few ideas I shared w/ the other guys: 1. Suicide should count as -2 levels (come on, it's pretty hard to suicide in GG) But a knife kill should make someone lose a level, and make you gain one (just for those that don't know) 2. Noblock - You really don't want masses of people getting stuck in a little tunnel, trust me 3. We doing like a DM, or like a proper match (team wins a round)? Personally i think the DM gun games are more fast paced and exciting, and people don't have to wait for the end of a round. Nearly all the GG servers I see are DM, and they really are much better... 4. Spawn protection for a certain time - you always get spawncampers in a DM...only applies if DM is being used for GG 5. Little display on bottom (like spray tags), saying what level you're on, and what the leader is on, how many kills to next level. 6. I think that we need like 2 kills per weapon to level up, means people can't just steam through the match and kill everyone while they're still on glocks 7. Include quake sounds - they just add a bit of fun to the game
Map : gg_waterfalls_dev - Missing map, cant download it! And level 22.. where u have to kill with nade u only get one nade, Dean told me usually u'll get everytime nades after few seconds!
Nah multiple nades makes it too easy for that level.. We already have a knife battle to help the last knife level finish quicker.. You need to do a shot or two damage with the deagle then use nade for 22.
The server isn't a DM style gg server. I'm not sure if knife fight counts as the knife kill for the last lvl,I know it doesn't count in some existing servers but ours Cud be different.
if it isnt dm style then it should be one kill but you shouldnt elvel up untill the end of the round man
That means that each game will be 24+ rounds, long long game man, prob get rtved before the map is finished, players will get bored.
The only thing I agree on is number 2. I would really appreciate a no-block on the GG server, definitely. The rest I don't agree to. 1. It's not that hard to die on your own in GG. In many gungame maps you can climb onto things and the maps frequently have ladders which gets you further and further up. If you die and lose 2 levels... I'd rage man. I'd break my keyboard haha. Way too much in my opinion. 2. Agree with you. 3. We're doing the proper one, and I think that less servers have the DM settings tbh, only encountered one server with that setting which I've played on alot back in the days. 5. It says in the chat what level you're on, so there's no need for it. 6. Nah man, the game would be longer and it's more fun to just level up with 1 kill. The more classic the better. 7. We have some sounds, and some quake sounds might be cool but like I said above, the more classic the better. Thought I'd just answer every idea like that, this is just a personal opinion.
DM style = spawn campers = spawn protection = shite.. If a hacker joins in a DM GG server, would be hard for admin to notice and take any action because everyone will keep re-spawning including the admin himself. Lucky kills from campers camping in same corner. Without dm its much much better imo.
There are many ways gungame server can be configured. But we have decided that it wont be a dm server for many reasons. When a person is on knife level and a knifefight occurs and the person on knife level pwns = win. The reason why re don't need 2 kills is because gungame server is by rounds. No block has been turned on, it should turn off during knife fight.
Quake sounds wont go together with level up sound. you can check what level you are on by pressing tab. Suicide will count as -1 because you only level up one level why make it unfair?
