hey guys im looking to get a new laptop, this one is starting to get a bit out dated even cc:s is starting to lagg like hell, so what im asking is any recommendations for a new one, few wee points, it must me a laptop as i use it at work, not too expensive but not too cheap i want it to play ccs cs:go and other up coming titles, thanks in advance Mad
Honestly I have been using laptops for like 6 years now and Im getting really annoyed with them because they go out of date within like a year or two unless you buy an uber expensive one and you cant upgrade them I would sugest just buying a computer probably cheaper and better and keep you old laptop if you travel like I do But if you still want a laptop I would recomend Dell its basically like an Alienware without the name and its cheaper and has better warenties Hope this helps
what ant shrew said you can keep that laptop for your work but build a desktop which will be more future proof or if you want a good gaming laptop i would look into the Asus republic of gamer laptops http://www.amazon.co.uk/15-6-Inch-1...SWHW/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1345978302&sr=8-8 anything lower then 800 for a laptop i would not consider for gaming.
Asus N55SF is what i was gonna buy, its an exception to what smurf said as it is £759, but its got an I7 2500k, 6gb of ram, which according to some reviews is upgradable to 8, but i dont know for myself, nVidia 2gb GPU (forgot the model) its a very good laptop, ive had a quick test in store and id say if you want a laptop and you have the money ,thats the one for you.
if your budged is 700 and you dont need a screen, get a desktop. If you need a screen aswell it will be around 800 give or take. Good luck!
wow cheers guys, coupla wee things tho, 1 on dell they do do finance deals which i think seem like a good idea tho you are locked it for about 3yrs, i am actually now thinking about a desktop but i have no clue how to build one as i hear if you build one you know that you will get better prices on parts and all
What country you from? if you are near nottingham in UK, then www.lamba-tek.com are really good, i got my PC for £210 and it could play any game out on highest detail with a minimum of 60fps, 30 with fraps recording, the only problem with that site is the VAT and postage are fucking massive, it put the cost to £360 to get it delivered here, but my cousin is in the university right next to it so he collected it and sent it down cheaper watch youtube tuts on how to build a PC, really, its nothing hard, and you got many people on steam who are able to help you if you get stuck
My PC build cost me £1300 icludin keyboard mouse and monitor. Its the equvilent specs of a £2200 prebuilt. But my friend has just spent £700 including keyboard mouse and monitor. He can play bf3 full spec's. So its well worth building yourself. Putting it together is easy. Like a jigsaw. But it would only cost £50 to get someone else to do it. Never pay for windows btw.
sound good, i live in scotland i'd hate to imagine the postage for the lambda tek lol, i get that you never pay for windows as it is shit expensive but how else wont torrents and stuff be watched?
lol, i just downloaded win7 ultimate again because my last OS decided to forget my password -_- its fine to download an OS, just get one with loads of seeders, then a decent activator
