I finally recovered all my files from my external to my pc but only thing is i get this error anyone who has any idea would be helpful and i can get back on asap Thanks in advance.
IF that fails... Exit Steam again Navigate to your Steam installation directory. (C:\Program Files\Steam\ by default.) Delete everything in that directory EXCEPT the following: steam.exe and the steamapps directory (All of Steam's game files are kept here.) Restart Steam
its also helpful to delete valve data from the registry i believe before reinstalling edit : this may or may not be bullshit, but i read it somewhere and thats what I do when i have problems (but not sure if its actually helped on its own, i just do it in case it does)
Yea i know nomy, by then ill have my gamers pc anyways, but all seems to be good its up and running just validating css
Next time you get such issues, Deejay, try google the message that appears. There are thousands of others who has had same issue as you. This is where Adey copied from, probably by googling the message you got. https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=3093-MKUJ-5773 I hope you fixed it
Cheers for that wolv lol Right on another note, I may or may have not fixed css although when i start steam most of the time i either lose my connection completely and does not come back unless i restart / my pc restarts randomly i have searched all over for solutions but none seam to help me out!!!!
Shouldn't be a virus nomy its a fresh install of windows and i took side of the tower off checked everything and all seems to be ok.
getting a gamers pc sam, But wont be for some time yet as i got a new house to get prepared for and a holiday booked with the missus, and got festivals coming up. This pc worked 100% fine before so i just dont know what the problem seems to be. Restarts constantly. <<<< Main issue would work perfect if it stopped that. Connection seems to cut out completely and wont come back on till i restart the pc. <<< Bit of annoyance.
First option is best. Second one, nah... Although for first option, we'd need to know the PC's specifications.
