Any help guys, got some really bad lag atm, got a low ping, no messed up files or anything that should mess up my game. THNKS
I get between 15 and 20 fps normally, 15.2 for choke (orange), and can't remember loss. :O Looking back, i think my CPU was dying, messing up my whole PC. Think it should be fixed by now. But what would you suggest if it happened again?
Dude 15-20 fps aint really enough, so that fps lagg in itself. Make sure your rates are right to the server also otherwise this causes lagg. CSS is a processor heavy game, your CPU needs to be reasonably good, doesnt need to be that good, Ive got an Dual 2.5 ghz processor and thats shit compared to modern day standards and it runs CSS at a minimum of 100 fps and max ive seen is 300+ Your ISP may have something to do with it also, other ppl on your network, theres many factors that cause lagg. Easyiest thing you can do right now is turn down your graphics settings or stop any programs that arnt needed, every extra program that is running, reduces your FPS, and enter the correct rates for the server your in. You can also try maintaining your computer abit more by using these in the following order: http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner 1. When using ccleaner, run a clean up first of your temp files 2. Then run a registry fix and http://www.iobit.com/iobitsmartdefrag.html 3. If you have the time, do a deep optimize. You will see the difference in your processing speed. Also run a full virus scan and keep you computer updated!
I fixed it up a bit quickly and now im on about 40-60 fps. Thnks jizzy for xtra advice, will do it when i get loadsa time My PC runs nicely now, no more smoke coming out the back NExt time im on css, could someone check if my console settings are right for the server. Don't doubt you nomy, but how then have i been playing css for bout a year with 30-60 fps and never experienced lag like this?
lol nomes I used to play css with 15 fps xD but still that was on the old engine which required much less power..
LOL it was actually a graphics card a really old one with s-video output xDD my motherboard didnt have onboard graphics xDDD
They say below 60 u lag.. I remmeber my 70 fps days and i hated it when i laged while spraying more then 2 players.. Its frustrating and really does cuts down the amount of kills i can get.. Recoil recovery slows down in bad fps. and if you get naded, crash. lol

I always turn my utorrent off, but sometimes i forget and i need to waste 30secs of css. Apparently if you limit the upload speed you don't get any lag at all
yeah limiting upload mean limiting requests... which often result in slower download. Its not worth downloading on same connection where you're also playing online game simultaneously.
