Ive tried to make an image for community profile but somehow it looks so low quality when i put it on :S



anyone know why?

 

yea when they resize it, it becomes crappy... try antialising the image, maybe it will show up better...

 

I tried both png and jpg, size is 184x184 which is same as the pic allowance. when i try this version, its clear.. i think it to do with the colors..



Ive tried using a bigger sized image and smaller sized image, everytime i upload, it gets low quality..

 

Well if its the colour, then I think you should use web safe colours

Try making it a non animated gif so it only gives you 256 colours to use...

 

But i cant add effects to it the same way i do on photoshop if i use fireworks to make a gif..

 

Just use basic colours not some rare colours...

 

I think its the background.. Because of the gradient..
