if admin would give us a .sp file (that are the files which get the plugins in the game) from one special day plugin that would be a huge help. Not gonna code from nothing.
While I'm still figuring things out in sourcemod I'm trying to develop new special days, in no way this means any of it will be added. Dodgeball performance should be fine, flashbangs get removed before they explode. For now it's just playing around and concepting, still needs a lot of work and testing, for example on start of special days I wanna make CT/T 50/50, after SD ends they'll need placing back at original teams. I'm just casually working on them, let's see where it ends (I'm using ici's&Nomy's SD API)
They are actually not that difficult to create. 2 years ago I wanted to make it easier for other people to join in and code their own, so I started working on this helper/wrapper/api thing but it never really saw the light of day. You could use the source code as inspiration. Have a look around to get a basic idea of the common functionality between SDs. There are also utility/misc functions. For ex. there's a function to open/close the cells. Bare in mind, though, that this project is incomplete. You might try to compile it, see if it works. I don't remember the state I left it in. The actual code that runs on hell servers has a more outdated/legacy feel to it and it also uses the old syntax. There is no point in me giving you that. It would only confuse you more. But if you want to be confused.. here's how Mike Myers is made, which uses the old syntax and is just a single source file. I remember I did this one in a rush. Took me less than 2-3 days but that's because I had a clear idea of how it was going to work and I was not bothered to do any needless refinements. On a side note, one other goal I had with the wrapper was to implement an anti-delay system. I knew people get frustrated when rounds take ages so I was looking for ways to improve on that. I'd advise you to not overlook this part. How good are you at coding? Do you still consider giving it a shot or have you lost interest? Hey man, it's shaping up! My experience on coding is 1 year IT school some years ago (tho I never finished it because I was mostly missing lol). DodgeBall Day and ScoutKnivez Day are finished, currently working on the possibility of adding them to the server. Other ideas I got for possible SD's in the future: [SD] One headshot in the chamber (FFA) Everyone starts with a deagle, containing 1 bullet, and a knife. You can only headshot or knife. If you kill another player with a headshot you get 2 extra bullets. Killing a player with a knife gives 1 bullet. [SD] Vampires VS Slayers (got this idea from a half life 1 mod) T's are known as "Vampires" CT's are known as "Slayers" The vampires can jump higher and run faster then the slayers, they also have a 'leap' move. Vampires can only deal damage in melee however they instantly kill slayers. Slayers on the other hand can use any weapon. Weapons are used to damage/slow vampires, when enough damage is done it freezes vampires , once a vampire is frozen it can only be killed by a slayer with a right click knife. If not killed the vampire will defrost after a short period of time, regaining his health and speed. If a vampire is killed he respawns after a while. This means the predator (vampire) can turn into a prey abruptly, when there is not many vampires left. If you have more ideas for SD's don't hesitate to share them!
Hot Potato This special day is simple, at the beggining of the special day everyone gets disarmed and isn't allowed to pick up any Weapons (including knives) After a few seconds of countdown for the players to hide / run (1 or 2, depending on how many players are on the server at the time) the player/players get a deagle and they have a few seconds to pass it (i was thinking like 10-15 seconds) to someone else, if they don't pass it in time the last holder/holders of the "Hot Potato" gets slayed. The holders of the hot potato should also get extra speed and a white beacon on their screen that shows where the closest player to them are (since 10-15 seconds aint much). There would be a rotative order so the last players that started with the hot potato don't get to start with it again. The game ends when there are 1/2 players left (depending on how many players are on the server) Fun, fast and a simple special day. Also, what about: Shotgun Nade Dodgeball Special days?
With 46 players this could last up to 8 - 12 minutes I was never a fan of hot potato, you could say..
Make it 3 hot potatoes when there are that many people on the sv then, if each 15 seconds (10 seconds would be obviously faster) 3 people die that would be 12 players slayed / minute (which wouldn't take more than 4-5 minutes, but again that would be in extreme cases when the sv is full which barely happens), so i think the special day wont take more than 3-4 minutes when there are 30 people on the sv (just like the other sd's) ****even with 46 people on the sv with 2 hot potatoes each 15 seconds it would take maximum 6 minutes which is way less than mmd with server full****
