AUTOAFK Tweak

So for maps like

mg_GumObstacle it's really nice to have off autoafk.

I tried for 1 hour and 36 min and was almost done, then I alt tabbed to 2nd screen and got lost in an interesting idea I had, before I knew it I forgot about autoafk and I got killed and had to restart the map...

either that or have a !pause function for timer so u can take a break in long maps

 

I never play mg but the auto afk thing would be handy in jb when a ct goes afk letting no one else go ct

 

We got admins for this so don't worry about that. Or players fix it by themself by just killing the CT.

Why do u need a break, it's course/obstacles as it says. You take your time to finish the game and try to beat a worldrecord on the map. That will make you in the top list, you can see it by typing !wr.

 

Got any idea how hard that map is? Bruh...

 

The more you do it, the more skills you get

 

Even if u got a !wr run and u suddently have to help a family memeber or go take a break for something else it's good to have... autoafk is kind of destroying any kind of brb or afk for few minutes...

It's cause the map is very very long you see... it's not a normal short one

AutoAFK is best thing, you are not to only one who's been playing MG. Other people play too and imagine playing on a course map and another player died and you are still alive "being afking..." imagine how that would be for the player that is been waiting for you 5-10-20-30 minutes...

 

There is a votekick feature and also I mean only to disable them for these 2 maps

 

The votekick feature works only if you have 3/4 players since you need to vote it atleast 3 players if I remember correctly. Still makes no sense with what you are saying...

 

yes you need 4 ... but I mean the autoafk could be taken off on long maps or u could type +left or + right in console, problem with that is that time is still ticking!


So a !pause without being autoafked would be the best... but I can only hope right?

 

I don't think that will be good tho, just because you be AFK sometimes and have a bad record from on the map just restart the course hard or not, I know people from MG who just slay themself on the mg_100traps map and start over because they have a bad time. !pause would be kinda "cheating" since you can stop the time on the map

Have you never seen a proper plugin for timers?

I know of some servers, you type !pause (OFC YOU GET FROZEN) and then !resume to continue... it would be no cheating.

(for example the ]Hell[ EZMode Bhop server)

if people found a way to cheat with it, I would ofc want it removed instantly, but since I am as anti-cheat and cheese as u can get then I would not want this if I knew it was broken in some way, trust me on that

So far I have not noticed any of that, but again I have not tried either cause im a fair player.

 

The work to do it isn’t worth it. Also the amount of maps that really need this is so small its rather pointless putting the time into make the changes.
