Holy mackarel, I just browsed through these albums (first reply, Global Communications) 4:02.. Christ almighty, really beautiful, scaring even.

Consider looking into Kraftwerk, they've got some nice ambient sounds, all synthesizer, sometimes a little singing, but amazing overall.

    Check "Kometenmelodie 1 & 2"

Although 2 is more melodic, 1 gives me ambient vibes.

Not to forget: JEAN MICHEL JARRE!

The album Equinox and Oxygene, I listened to them because I got redirected by something, and decided to try the whole albums, and I still cry a little when I hear them, especially Equinox 1 2 and 3, and Oxygene 5 and 6, jeez the intro's already, unbelievable..

By the way, this may sound really weird, but, a black metal band called Burzum got one hell of a good ambient song, the sound is a bit repetitive, but it's still good nonetheless: Rundgang Um Die Transzendentale Saule Der Singularitat - YouTube

By the way, his latest albums focus only on ambient music, such as Thulean Perspective, and The Ways of Yore.

Yeah true, Varg is a weird guy, just look at his Twitter posts, wattefack, anyway, talking about ambient music, Vangelis is great too.. Some of his albums have ambient music such as these:

China - Vangelis - China - Chung Kuo - YouTube

Opera Sauvage - Hymne (Remastered) - YouTube

    Albedo 0.39 - Vangelis - Pulstar (Audio) - YouTube

My parents attended a concert of his, introduced me to it and since then I adore him, he is one of the reasons (JMJ too) why I'm gonna buy a synthesizer, I just love experimenting with sounds, I used to do it with my guitar and a multi-effect pedal and just create soothing/satisfying/eerie sounds with it, although it annoyed my little brother LOL
