Have you played around with your mouse sensitivity and ingame sensitivity? My aim was dog dirt for ages and when I changed it I started to see an improvement! Try find a mouse speed that works and feels natural for you ( lmay take a few games to get used to a new sensitivity tho)

off the top of my head...

    use a low sensitivity
    play lots of deathmatch
play deathmatch & practice only 1 tapping headshots
keep your crosshair at head level
google how to hear footsteps better
    use your minimap more
    learn different types of shooting,
spray at close range, burst shoot at medium range, tap shoot at long range
learn how to do above ^ at different ranges
    practice shooting at walls
    practice strafe shooting
learn where ppl are most likely to be
learn to pre aim/pre shot those spots

there's tons of other stuff you can do to get better, just google/youtube it...

Just to elaborate on what Trustme said, your sensitivity should be such that it's difficult to do a 360 with one mouse movement. You should only be able to do a 180 degree turn with one normal mouse movement, i.e. that doesn't require stretching your wrist or lifting the mouse up.

Dont think there is such ruling.. Sensitivity is personal preference. You can be a good shooter with high sensitivity or low.

Also dont think shooting at walls or bots would help, playing against real players would. And I wouldn't recommend practising strafe shooting unless with a deagle in css.

I think spending time shooting is the key. Aiming is all about muscle memory and consistency.

Just play the game, yeah some stuff will maybe help a bit more but no matter the sens you have you will get used to it if you play enough and your aim will improve.

Most ppl who want to improve aim have too high sensitivity

just "spending time shooting" means you will probably spend time shooting like a noob, and that's what your muscles will remember.....
better to actually spend some time to learn good technique and practice that over n over....

Not sure how you conclude with that but okay xd

As for spending time shooting i meant playing DM, pub, war etc instead of surfing, JB, football. And ofcourse practising to shoot while jumping wouldn't work but wouldnt be long till you realise what actually works and eventually you try it over and over..

& if you dont learn how to play them "correctly" you will just learn how to play badly and pick that up as muscle memory

Just find your sensitivity and try to learn what to preaim. Also not aiming at walls when you go around corners, little stuff like that

Finding sensitivity: shoot a hole in the wall and try to keep your crosshair on it at all times while moving around.

If you have CSGO, there are plenty of maps to try on workshop that help with aim. If not you will still probably be able to find aim maps on gamebanana. If learning recoil is a massive problem, just put your crosshair slightly below the person you are aiming at while or before firing, it will help as a starter, and when you feel comfortable, maybe try learning the patterns. Try firing in bursts when you are starting off.

    This worked for me:

First: of all get a good sensitivity it's personal preference, they made a guide about how to find the perfect sensitivity it worked for me. Or you can find a video on youtube about it.

Second: of all get a crosshair that you can see well and that you like.

Third: find out what gun class you like: snipers, rifles.

Fourth: practice the gun, each gun has a unique way that they are strong at.

Fifth: practice side stepping, practice aim, practice positioning, etc.

Just be like me, don't worry about aim and enjoy the game being a scrub (and play a lot of bhop).

And of course when someone convinces you to join mg/gg complain the whole time about how the game sucks.
