so i've been thinking of this game to be added as "special day" the game called - one in the chamber -players will get 1 bullet in their deagle, and knife - it's gonna be 1 hit kill -if you killed an enemy with that bullet you will get 1 bullet in your deagle -killing an enemy by knifing him also gives you 1 bullet -it's friendly fire -the game will end when 1 player kill all the opponents from the other team -anti-camping function will be added "auto beacon" for camping in the same place for more than 3 seconds.
To be fair it sounds a lot like instagib from Unreal Tournament. Im not saying I dont like instagib, it is fun. But we already have several different SDs where Tank and FFD are the most played (since wardens apparently cant think of anything else). We rarely play other SDs, mostly when an admin is warden or directly asked what he wants (leading to invis SDs or the like). New SDs would only really make sense when we add a cooldown of some sort to SDs or admins generally use the full spectrum of SDs.
TD and FFD are the most played cause they didn't tried better than these 2 we can make this special day available for 1 month as a test and we'll see how players will react to it , then an hell admin can make a vote asking players either to make it official or let it go
A special day that doesnt encourage CAMPING is what we need.... Like FFD where everyone starts with 100hp loses 5hp every 20sec but you get 50HP if you kill someone with medic not being allowed (possible to go above 100hp)

I didn't say that the only reason you won the knife tournament back in 2015 was cause of the weird acceleration, if that's what you think. But I still think the current or new special days shouldnt promote camping... What do we have atm? FFD, MMD, FFKD, FFTKD and tank? Everyone one of those usually takes 10-15minutes except tank which is action packed unless tanks kill everyone except a few Ts just hiding doing nothing or tank camps for no reason. Sure I have a pretty negative POV towards it but I feel like the special days should be fast paced combat rounds with some twist to it, there's a reason why the majority of SD rounds require beacon on all players.
Do you have any ideas how to make the games more fast paced / prevent delays / camping? How about this algorithm I thought off the top of my head: - if game stops progressing / becomes inactive ( players don't get killed - that's the measure, we're trying to lower the number of players alive, the only way for most of the special days to end ), then beacon / slap all players / make them lose hp, make them move. Perform this step every time the game becomes idle ( doesn't progress ) for x ( maybe 10 ) seconds. Or maybe introduce a real anti-camp, but then players who team up on FFD for ex. wouldn't be able to hide in a specific area for too long. Would probably require a good time interval and radius for the anti-camp to kick in and behave well. It's true that these special days suffer from delays, often requiring admins to perform some action on players. So do zombie freedays and wardays though. Basically any kind of round which does not involve commanding is prone to delays of some sort, apart from fucking what - lava day where everyone is supposed to jump into the lava and die. ( bring lava day back @MHD ) Perhaps if we find a way to automate that process and manage the game state better, people wouldn't have to wait so long for these rounds to end.
This way you might get rewarded for killing as you can end up having a lot of hp if you kill a lot, you would also die if you were only camping. quite sure I was banned at the time, cause I didn't participate in that one
The knife tournament had the same settings like pub server. But I guess you wouldn't know because you were banned.
