Hey guys, my friend is looking for a PC that can run some of the latest games at high settings (PUBG mainly). Budget is £900 and neither me or him have any knowledge in building a PC so it has to be one thats built for him or ready made.

    Thanks in advance!

You can build a big man PC for 900 quid. It's just like lego.

Maybe it is however, he'd prefer something that's built for him / ready made.

It would be a lot cheaper for him to buy the components and build it himself. And like nomy said it really is just like lego, as long as you remember the motherboard standoffs.

This would cost him around £1,200 - £1,300 to get prebuilt. Windows 10 he could either add on top of it all or download the free OEM version from microsoft and buy a key at a later date if he wants to. Another option is through a finance plan if he has the credit.

I'm sure you will be able to build better one at PCPartPicker.

Seems pretty deliriously (pun intended) overpriced to be honest.

I'd have a look at a build like TrustMe's link or like Nomy said PcPartPicker although i'm not familiar with UK retailers.

Building a PC is like Legos and quite easy, but if your friend wants it pre-built he can still have pretty decent builds for that budget.
I'd say no less than a Gtx 1070, decent i5 and 16gb ram with a good motherboard.

thats probably going to be a bit tough, a 1060 will do just fine on high settings for most games at 1080p

^This. Whether your friend chooses to buy parts separately or pre-built, i'd go for a 1070. I even bought a 1060 and returned it for a 1070 specifically for pubg and could see a big difference. Also tons of 1060's suffer from screen stuttering (if not all cards to some point) and one of the reasons i returned mine.
