What's people's opinions on GM crops? I'd be fascinated to hear them. Personally I'm for developing GM crops.
GMOs are key to helping lower economically developed countries thrive Although I am skeptical about messing around with genetics n stuff like that, I don't think they are necessary in countries that are capable of growing their own organic produce without the use of pesticides or genetic modification
May I ask why you are skeptical? Humans have been doing this for very long time. When you find a crop or fruit that looks nice and taste good, you create more of them by seeding it's seed and so on. That was the whole point of this video. It's the same shit. Organic produce is unstable, there might be mutations you don't want... Most of the organic stuff I've seen in Tesco and Sainsbury's is tiny and the price is just stupid.
The only reason people are afraid of GMO is because we dont have enough data of what consicuenses GMO has. This point will appear in almost every GMO debate. People who uses this stupid point "tampering with nature is bad", is just bullshit. We humans have been "tampering" with nature when we started hunting and keeping wolves as our pet. We have always tampered with nature! In my opinion i like GMO because it; - Will Strengthen the Economy - Increased production, - Little cost, - Increased efficiency
I don't have much knowledge on the subject, just going off a gut feeling more being concerned about who is controlling whats going into the GMO
