JB map suggestions

Hai

Im thinking about making a map for JB but since I have NO imagination, I'm asking you guys, what do you want.
Hit me with them suggestions.


Map plans:
2 possible gun cells, randomly chosen at start of the map
DISCO

Minigames:
Climb
Soccer

 

DONT FORGET DISCO ITS MAIN GAME FOR JB

 

Don't forget the classics like Colours and Dodgeball and Race.
You could be really unique and add a pool which would contain stuff like slides and diving board.
Also, theres the Jump rope and Wipeouts basketball courts, volleyball, break floor and shit like that.
Traitor is usually a good hit for maps.
Surf, Ski...
Just load it up with a lot of things so people won't get bored
And like, an lr room

I know I've pretty much just named all the basics but even some of the maps played on jb don't have these

 

Just play on the jailbreak server for a few maps and take notice of all the secrets/games etc

 

Ye, i'v played it lately. Just want to see if you guys had any cool things you wanted done that has not been done before. But thanks for the suggestions

 

- Guns in cells is a bad idea in my opinion, especially 2, let's remember jailbreak is about actually playing games rather than just rebelling every round.
- Plenty of open space for CTs and Ts to keep apart.
- A few secrets are nice but overdoing it can be catastrophic *cough* jb_paper_alive

- As for games, it's difficult to think of something not been done before, a few that are usually popular:
- Hungergames
- Bhop
- Perhaps an MMD game which is confined to a small arena instead of activating the special day
- Obstacle course

 

It's very hard to come up with new, unique games as the gamemode and source itself has been out for very long. I'd reccomend to keep it simple and colourful as the better maps tend to be interactive and fun to play.

Yeah but in all my years playing I've never met someone on the server who's legit colour blind. Everyone uses colourblindness as an excuse for having shit reaction times lol

Make a specific war day room with a cell button in it

 

Just wanted to say some important things
-try to make the doors so that they dont kill us , because its so frustrating getting killed by doors
-have at least 3-4 awps in armoury , otherwise you will see cts begging xD
-a water polo can be good like this ->

If you add this , dont keep the water deep
-try to keep the map divided in sections

Don't put a gun in the cells please, slows the rounds by a considerable amount and people don't join the server to sit outside a cell ask for 20-50 seconds

Brilliant idea

-if/when you're putting doors in please don't put doors in that you press e (or whatever key you have bound to use command) as this slows rounds up hugely and they are a pain as a CT trying to get all the t's though a door like that

 

it's just simply asking the community what they want, i've done it enough and had failed map projects and a current one on standby due to college. asking people what they want to see in a map and then including those things makes what is to them a better map to play on.

if you can figure out how to do it a one off special day like the hide and seek in raphi's minecraft map is something rare in a jb map and if done well fun to play.

 

Just think what your favourite games are and use those. That's why I never make a disco.. sucks

 

Disco is good for the colours game however packing the songs into the level makes the file huge!
