Hi guys, thinking of buying a new headset, my Creative's are still working fine but lacks the true surround you can get from an actualy 5.1 headset. Wondering what you'd say is the better one, I know you will all probably jump on the Siberia V2 or the other one called Sniper or whatever, not really looking to spend more than £40-£50 on it, anyway, what's your suggestions, what's their pro's, their cons, you know the drill --- Double Post Merged, Apr 11, 2015, Original Post Date: Apr 11, 2015 --- Actually ignore this, found a pair of Speedlink Medusa 5.1's for £41 ^^
Are you referring to these?: http://www.cclonline.com/product/17...ing-Headset-for-PC-Black-SL-8794-BK-/SPK2297/
Ive already owned 1 of these speed link medusa 5.1 headset and the speaker started giving static noise prolly cuz i dropped it too often. Im hunting for a new pair of headset myself, not gona go for cyber snipa anymore cuz support is gone. Prolly gona go for virtual surround now cuz they are lighter as I dont play that hard anymore to get a piece of heavy headset with real surround sound speakers and they seem to be loosen up quickly after dropping em a few times.
okay these ones then.. http://www.cclonline.com/product/17...ing-Headset-for-PC-Black-SL-8796-BK-/SPK2293/ Same headset different connectivity, im guessing its the same speakers in them both headsets too..
Its totally different. The one from cclonline is not the same as the one you think. The one you used: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Speedlink-Medusa-USB-Gaming-Headset/dp/B0046ZSY7Q The one bob is buying are the newer ones. Its NOT the same. USB is NOT 4x 3.5mm jacks. The sound quality will be different since the sound card from his PC will be used for sound instead of shity on board USB. So you cant just say its the connection thats different...
Lol?? I really dont see no difference between the 2 usb headsets.. But anyway i was pointing out the issue with the speakers, not the cable..
Might be going for this: http://www.turtlebeach.com/product-detail/pc-headsets/ear-force-z60/496 Not sure about how different this 7.1 channel DTS Headphone:X Surround Sound is to the Dolby surround sound
Yea im only going for USB mate.. Anyway. Heres my lil list: http://www.turtlebeach.com/product-detail/pc-headsets/ear-force-z60/496 http://gaming.corsair.com/en-gb/corsair-gaming-h1500-dolby-7-1-gaming-headset http://en-uk.sennheiser.com/gaming-headset-stereo-dolby-headphone-pc-323d
You mean the turtle beach headset that i linked or turtle beach as a manufacturer? And have you had one of their headsets before?
Manufacturer (your link directs me to their product page). I'm using Turtle Beaches right now, the X11's.
Bought the Sennheiser PC 323D G4ME last night, got it for £70 when normally its £110. I think they make better quality products. Anyone using Sennheiser?
Depends if you had the NX or the True Surround, NX uses an in-line soundcard which sucks so much balls, true surround uses the 4 3.5mm jacks and a usb for power, its a good headset!
I think "true surround sound" means when a headset has real physical 5.1 speakers in the ear cups where as "virtual surround sound" is when a headset is has only 2 speakers using dolby technology to make it surround sound so NX version and the other version both are true surround sound speakers.
Yeah but the buzzing static you was getting was the in-line soundcard well my headset is a definite step up from my creative fatalities, little less bass but the extra speakers are well worth it
