So, my illegal Windows 7 told me I wasn't using a genuine Windows. Didn't affect much, just changed my background color to black (?) and had a small message in the lower right corner of my desktop saying it's not genuine. My brother helped me get rid of that, it's gone now.

I tried launching CS:S while Windows was being that bitchy and it just fucked up my dimensions. The chatbox is also smaller and it's harder to read. Anyone know what to do?

The video settings are the same as they were when it happened. As you can see it has these two black stripes on the sides. I tried various other video settings but the normal one wont pop up. I don't know what to do. :S

Change the resolution back to what it was. I don't believe it was 1024 x 768 ?

Make sure you don't have a virus on your pc... most viruses disable firewalls and antivirus software and then even make your windows non genuine.. etc

It was like that when it was normal. It was like a normal CS:S, nicely full-screened.

Scanning right now if you think that's the case.

Nothing came out of the scan.

As you can see on the pic the chatbox is much smaller, harder to read. The grey box in the bottom middle of the screen is a tad smaller as well. And then there's the HP, ammo, timer and that stuff is bold for some reason?

I'm using another aspect ratio and other resolution. It makes it full-screen but like, the chatbox, HP and stuff is smaller. Weapon sizes, depth in-game is the same though. 0.o

Just played TF2, exactly the same thing happens. When I change the aspect ratio + resolution so that it goes fullscreen the chat is alot smaller.

That's basically what I only want fixed, the other stuff I can live with.

I tried removing all of my huds from the huds folder and the chatbox is normal now in css! :D Was gonna try to do the same thing in TF2 but it has no huds folder.
