like on mg_saw the elevator is in no clip mode,on another map there's a giant ball that should kill you but is in no clip mode too,on another map there are some lasers but if u touch them nothin happens,but is still a good server anyway!
Thats the mappers responsibility to test their maps properly b4 they realise them. Also some maps are in beta, and are not complete. When the map updates become available, we try to update the maps ASAP. But for now we cannot do anything about these bugged maps, and cannot remove them because they are still popular even though they have these flaws. Mg_saw is a good example.
if a prop is in noclip mode (bouncing), it means the server needs a restart. The lasers dont work, yea some dont kill after the CSS to OB update...
what do you mean private? o.O maps cant be private... once a player connect to server the player downloads the map already...
YEh thought that nomy but some ppl have private maps and private skins etc don't they? Only playable on their servers.
You mean personalized sounds/textures? They are easily replaceable... Or simply remove them... Mainly they use personalized textures only for credits...
I dont know how to make maps so I cant really say anything regarding this but in theory you cant make a map private. This is because once a player connects to the server, he will download the map... e.g2: If I buy photoshop and then seed it, a person downloads it... its not private anymore... its public... you can maybe make it private by passwording the server... like war server... maybe pagno knows better, if mappers can check hostname for server and it matches then players can spawn normal otherwise they spawn in an empty box? btw jizzy, if you saw a skin on a server, you have already downloaded it its inside your cstrike folder...
