Football Server

People complained about the map without walls on the sides so i doubt the majority would like a waterpolo map. It's more of a minigame map.

Yeah, there are a lot of ka_soccer purists on the server if you know what I mean.

 

I tried the Waterpolo map once, not a good map as you need to keep jumping in order to stay on the surface, otherwise you sink. Also it's a lot harder to pass or to even hit the ball in the direction you want to hit it.

ka_soccer_street_hellz is good map, nice atmosphere and feel to the map but i think 8v8 would be over crowded as it's smaller than the normal maps. If there is a way to force the server slots to 10 for 5v5 on this map then it's worth adding it

The 2 maps that's on the server are the same in size, the only difference is the goal posts, grass and stadium, It seems pointless having both of the maps and think it would be best to have more maps that's different in size so when there are lot's of players on the server, they can play a bigger map

 

The map you linked looks sick, been trying to search for some cool ones aswell.

I found some cool maps:

Will try them out.

EDIT: Couldn't test these two because both maps didn't spawn with a ball. Only thing I can say is that the first map has pretty much the same length and width as the ka_soccer2006 map and that the Arsenal map is as big as the PVT map.

The hellz map is excellent for small 3v3 or 4v4 matches but it has background noises which can be quite annoying.

 

Iv'e tested the street soccer map, works perfectly on create server

Will download the maps you've posted, try them out and give my opinion, It's best to test them before requesting to add to the server

The maps are sj_ not ka_
There was no ball on the map(s) when i create server and load map and I have a feeling there will be work that needs to be done to add the ball

dust felt awful for me, it looks boring and the door on each side of the map are meant to be the goal posts?

As for the Arsenal stadium, it looks great, the sides of the pitch is clipped to stop anyone leaving the pitch which is not a bad thing at all but it's the same size pitch as the other maps. It's worth replacing one if not both of the maps that's already on the server though. (If it can be set up for ka_)

ka_soccer_street_hellz is far too small to put on the server. Ball is really small too and doesn't have the same fell as normal ka_soccer. Feels easy to knife over the top of the ball.

sj_dustfield has strange goals. You cant get behind the goal so it will be easy to just roll it from the corner towards the goal to score. Hard to explain.

sj_emirates seems good to me. Looks like it needs to be edited to have all this stuff in it and a ball which I could do and Nomy will have to add I think because of the stuff in the link.

 

The Emirates map has no ball and so it is basically a team deathmatch as Soccermod cannot be activated. The ball files are not there so the map really needs to be removed.

 

Yeah its a soccer jam map. I'll edit it into a ka_soccer map maybe get it done today.

We have fixed the PvP issue and added the map to the plugin so it works correctly. I've kept the ball red because its a lot of hassle decompiling it and making sure everything works again and has proper textures.

I would imagine the map maker is recreating a snowy pitch where a white ball would be hard to see

Since the soccer server has 2 maps I want to suggest some maps to get added on the Soccer server. I hope it will be possible since everyone on the server are bored to play on the same maps all the time.

Honestly don't have the time to check them today I'm kind busy now with uni (online class, exercises, exams etc). I just checked the comments on the the site and pictures also a few videos on YouTube they looked fine.

And I think they will be good for the server yeah, not too big not too small kinda perfect for it. (Correct me if I'm wrong). Because in my opinion and point from my view they look good. But as I said don't have the time now to host a test server and check them.
