I couldn't help but notice that you were planning a JB server. Being a regular JB player (pretty much the only other server I play alot outside of HeLL) I feel I can help with this. Here goes. On Jailbreak, there is NO NEED to have alot of maps. 5-15 maps is good, but the creativity comes from the commander NOTES: Unfortunately, I can't test these maps, I have no idea how I would go about it. Also, Nomy, if you are nowhere near ready, feel free to just lock this topic for later use. Added all 62 maps. Way too much if you ask me. There should be a massive clean out done by a regular later...
Some maps were old and buggy they crash either the server or the player. Adding maps from map packs is a bad idea. I think we should remove all maps and only add maps we know are working and fun to play on. Can someone please start with a list or something. We should start with TheCookieMonster's map list.
Right, few of you know that there was a test of the servers today (nice 1 guys). Generally they're pretty cool, but i've got some things to add: 1. We should have !lr (last request), with games like Dodgeball, Shot4Shot, NoScope Battle, Knife Fight etc. 2. Noblock - Dunno, it's just helpful, especially if you wann get all T's into a tiny spot 3. Skins for T's - Orange prison jumpsuits. Not sure about CT skins, maybe riot police, somethink like that? 4. Rebel colours - If a T attacks a CT, they turn a dark red colour, so CT's can identify them 5. Turn friendly fire off!!! That's about it for the moment, I'll put anything else up if i think of it later
All of these are obvious for JB man. The server isn't ready yet. Nomy, I will go through lots of maps tonight and post them here with links.
Umm...I found a really nice map, but I can't find the link for the current one: jb_vipinthemix_v1_2 If anyone could find the link it would be much appreciated.
Not been on jb yet. I'll have a look, I'm pretty experience, so I can tell you any problems I see with it. that plugin suggested by Steve has some problems, like none-rebel kill punishments. This is quite restrictive, and generally the server works better with admin support. JB is great due to the rounds being creative and different, and this plugin just... doesn't seem quite right. It does have its good points though. The amount of last requests is good, so is teambanning.
