    Hi everyone

When I launch CSGO I just get a black screen with my mouse which I can just move around. I can hear the intro video in the background but I can't see it. I can't skip it or do anything else. Once it plays out, I just get stuck on a black screen.

I've tried about 5 different tips I've found online.

I've added -autoconfig -windowed -nod3d9ex to my launch options (individually too)
I've verified game cache multiple times
    I've reinstalled the game
My gfx drivers and everything are up to date.

Any help would be much appreciated

    Have you tried:
    -windowed -w640 -h480
Have you also checked your autoexec for any commands?

Possibly to do with graphics drivers, maybe go to your device manager and delete them and let windows reinstall them on a restart.

Try -novid in the launch options too in case it is just the video causing it to fail. This should stop the intro vid from even playing

I got something new when trying this and I got the following error:

failed to lock index buffer in CMeshDX8::LockIndexBuffer

I will have a look for fixes to this and see I can sort something out

Seems like a Directx error.. What do you need this for? -nod3d9ex

Ok so... After doing some additional digging, the following command has worked:

    -nod3d9ex

    Thank you @Conner

Edit: Thank you @Boy as well.. I was typing as you replied :D
