Thinking to buy either one, RTX 3070 is out now and next week the RX6800 will come out. I've always been more in the Nvidia side on graphic cards, but I am thinking to switch to AMD.. Both cards are in the same price range around 600 euro, what are your thoughts?
Well just wait for more solid benchmarks and comparisons and go with whatever you like, personally if both cards were same performance I would just go nvidia only for the shadowplay feature, other than that there isn't really a difference except performance, just compare and buy.
@Brandon you also have to research graphic card compatibility especially seeming as you do 3D work! I'm trying to decide on a new one too, will probably go for nvidia, but I'm waiting for more opinions!
Ye NVIDIA has more rendering capabilities and rtx aswell as better drivers (support), AMD does not support redshift (confirmed) and some other renderers, because AMD gpus do not have cuda cores. I am trying to buy the 3080 all the time but it is not possible. I am reading a lot of news that stock is gonna be very limited until end of 2020/start 2021 so if you order now you will have it end December/January earliest, but more likely february/March. So I am seriously considering to buy the rx 6800 xt directly when it comes out.
