be the fuck aware. Change your passwords and DONT click any links you get through steam even from friends. do not swap your skins to another account as thats how they get your skins.

STEAM WILL NOT GIVE YOU A TIMER TO MOVE SKINS, THEY DO NOT CARE THEY WILL BAN YOU WITH OUT WARNING

Yo guys don't click on any link with "star(s)ladder" or any other link ( If they come up with something new) Especially if person is saying "I will give u keys" that's the fishy part

I trusted this guy and I read as "starladder" which is a legit site but turns out these it's not. Be aware of it.

 

If you visit their profile. You will see that you are not friends with them.

 

Got send the same msg from raq, happy I checked the link before I clicked it.

 

I reported this before to @Skip since fronex was hacked, luckily he managed to recover his account.
but even if they get your password they still need a verification code from email protection ( enabled by default) or the mobile guard code. if u don't have these security options enabled, u still can recover your account by resetting the password via phone number if u had one added before.
they also can't use any payment methods without email access.

 

Yes because clicking links sent through the internet has never been bad xD

She received the same message and clicked on the link, she got hacked after that. But she has her account back now with help from Steam and Awesomo.

 

People, unless you are confident that the website your logging into is steam, dont give it your password!

Also, when you see messages like this, dont ignore them...

Yo people worst case scenario if your account indeed gets hacked, and somehow your email too.
If you have a physical copy of a game for steam you can recover your account!
Thats how i recovered my first ever steam account which has CSS.
It took me about 8 years to figure out how to recover but it was the most satisfying thing i have ever done regarding video games.
By the way this is the exact way i got hacked 12 years ago, some asshole sent me a link and me being a little kid i didnt know better.
