Reason:      So I was bored on gumobstacle, ran it a few times then gave up. Was bored so was cleaning up a platform full of pistols which had dropped from players respawning. Sorted them into a pile because i was bored and was just talking to other people. Didnt know that the guns would make the server lag, at first thought server was being ddosed but then few secs later i thought it could be the guns actually lagging the server because i saw them sort of glitching out in the pile. Asked if the lag wass caused by the guns and i was going to remove the pile but instantly got a 1 week ban with no warning from james. Honest mistake and im sorry but i was going to correct it but before i could i got banned, without any warning might i add. I didnt know the guns would make the server lag was just bored from playing gumobstaacle and was neatly sorting the pistols in that pile to pass the time while waiting for the next map. Honest mistake, wont happen again.

*Update* Apparently the ban is permanent. Pretty sure sourcebans said 1 week at first, now its permanent for some reason.

 

So first of you have been playing for a while now and you sure know that we take trolling seriously and i told you over mic to stop what you were doing then you spammed the guns so much that you lagged the entire server and i thought that you would know that. You crashed everyone that were running the map, and I'm pretty sure if you're trying to crashed the server you get a permanent ban you have been warned for trolling before and in my opinion this is the final straw.

This is evidence of what? I already explained how I piled guns together, and no I didnt know that it would lag the server. Secondly you NEVER warned me over mic. People were noticing the lag, reece said "im ddosing the server" then you said "no its sarpao" and jokingly i agreed. The second after i asked, "wait, is it the guns causing this?". The second I was saying that you banned me. So no warning, unless you wanna provide something that says otherwise. Also that first screenshot is the second that you said "its sarpao" and you said nothing else, and you didnt warn me before the lag started either. After you said this you INSTANTLY banned me, so why are you lying about issuing a warning? My idea is that you found an excuse to permanently ban me since its no secret you dislike me. In the past you have gone out of your way to rat me out for something I was innocent of, convincing wildfire to ban me. This time, since you yourself have the power to ban, you decided not to issue any warning and simply permanently ban me yourself.

 

So Sarpao I did warn you over mic sorry if you didn’t here but, you have been playing here on hell a while to know that you can lag/crash the server by doing what you were doing. Plus I don’t dislike you at all we have a laugh and compete on some maps with is fun to do in my opinion but know what you were doing could crash the server is stupid and I thought to ban you straight away as you already know the rules, then ask Chris to extend it as I thought that was the proper punishment for what you were doing and he asked for reason and evidence and I showed him and he extended to a permanent.

 

I already said that I didnt know what would happen, I apologized for it, it was an honest mistake, and I already promised it wont happen again. Saying that I have been playing for a while doesnt mean I know making a pile of guns would impact the server in that way, especially when I have indeed played for a long time and still didnt know what was going to happen. I am not saying i am unaware of what gun spamming is or what it does. I didnt know making a pile of guns would have that effect, i thought gunspamming was picking up and dropping guns very fast as people normally tend to do on JB but i have never seen anyone banned for piling guns lol. That is also why I was trying NOT to spam drop the guns but i guess that really doesnt matter. It was an honest mistake from me when I simply was trying to pass the time. I expressed my frustration for the awful map and simply didnt want to run it anymore. So i saw loads of guns and thought id sort them neatly while trying to pass the time. And no I didnt know it would crash/lag the server, I was not trying to intentionally crash the server just trynna pass the time.

Also I am almost 100% certain you never verbally warned me over voice comms. I was talking to other players and was actually actively listening to what was being said while passing the time. I dont think i'd miss you (saying my name) and telling me to (stop dropping/piling the guns), and im sure no one else did because you actually didnt. And you could also have warned me using admin chat or regular chat. But seems convenient you "warned" me verbally since no one can prove that you did or didnt.

 

I have explained why I banned you, I have provided the proof of what you did, I banned you for a week and the ban was extended by @Chris , see what he or another clan member thinks whether you should be unbanned

 

The ban was extended to make you come to the forums to explain your actions.

obviously we don’t take crashing our servers lightly.

@James. in future can you make sure give all warning via the admin chat in game

I will unban you if you promise to avoid this kind of behaviour in the future, and if you somehow see yourself in this situation again not to get involved and use the ingame feature to alert the admins that there is a pile of guns stacked liked so.

 

Yeah as I said this was an honest mistake and I apologize, wont happen again. Thank you Chris
