We are streamlining the process of recruitment for clan members by increasing the chance for members of the community to shine. We would like to introduce the new role of Super Users.

Who are Super Users?

Super Users are a new trial-type of community helpers, however not yet a clan member. They will be nominated by a clan member as they are discovered for having attributes that make an ideal clan member, we understand the current process is too long and this will aid us in the decision making process of recruitment and allow us to see how individuals perform in order to be recruited. The length of a Super User will be 3 months from the recruitment day and will be reviewed from that point to be either a recruited clan member, continue as a super users or return as a normal player. This will allow us to evaluate the candidate to establish whether they are suitable to be a clan member.

The Super User must not of had any recent gags/mutes/bans within at least 3 months to be considered. Clean account (No VAC bans at all) and must be active on forums and in-game to be considered.

What do Super Users do?

They will be given admin permission across all servers, they will have access to:

• Perm Ban, Gag and Mute.
• Access to Sourcebans (For offline punishments e.g. Reports/unbans)
• Answer, investigate and deal with simple reports/unbans. In complex cases e.g. Reporting of Pay Admins or regular players where there may be controversy it may be dealt with the support of a clan member.
• Able to host fun events with support from the clan to get the most out of the community.

How are Super Users chosen?

The candidate will be a player classed as a regular who is active on the servers from 6 Months+ and has a steady amount of game time per 2 weeks, judged on an individual basis depending on real life commitments. The Super Users can be nominated by the community for us to internally discuss, however the decision is for the clan to consider, this ensures we give the opportunities to those we think will help the community best and fairly.

Where does the role of Super Users lie in relation to everyone else?

The Super User will be between the level of a clan member and Pay Admins/Players, they will be assigned a mentor who they will work closely with to be 'trained' on how to deal with reports, unbans, sourcebans etc. They will regularly check in with the mentor to see how they are coping and fitting in with the new role & clan. Along the 3 month trial period, the regular check ins and internal discussions will allow us to highlight any potential issues prior to the end date to give us time to encourage the individual to be better to increase their chances of being recruited. At the end of the period, we as a clan will discuss and vote internally to whether the player is recruited to a full clan member or extend the trial period.

What if you make it through the trial period and not been recruited?

Please don't take this to heart, there's nothing to stop you from being re-nominated following this, it gives you the chance to reflect on the reasons we provide and work on it for next time.

It's interesting to see how many people suggested similar roles, but this concept we had is over 2-3 years old, before your suggestion. Not giving a specific time in case someone says "Ok this was my idea from x years ago". Either way, this will be a massive improvement. So keep your eyes peeled for the first Super User(s).

 

So yes, they will be able to answer threads. More complex ones will need support from clan members.
