Admins on JB

Hey Hell Clan,

Im wondering if there is anyway to get an admin on during busy times of the server. The JB server is one of the most popular CSS servers and although certain admins frequent (WildFire, Kenny, Matycam, Etc...) often times there is no admin online and this leads to problems such as GamePunch players coming and ruining multiple rounds (such as on 12/26/2019 (american dates ) where we had 2 people come on screaming the n word and MFK. Although this was ended by admins it took 2 ROUNDS!

As well as helping banning trollers such as GP players, it would also help reduce abuse of CT banning and help reduce other common occurring problems. The admins do a great job of coming when called such as JayJay and Jan did on 12/26, but there would be no need to call and help reduce this happening multiple times when it could be ended the round it starts.

I realize its a lot to ask when considering things such as work, school, etc... but i do believe it would help the server grow and keep order and bring back older and new players alike when seeing there is an active admin community! Thanks Guys!!!

 

The Issue with this is the number of admins is constantly fluctuating and people have different commitments at different points of the year. Also the issues with these troll usually occur late at night for us mainly European admins which is why we are not active.

It’s inevitable that people are going to do this and I would say it only taking two rounds is good and it shows that the admins are responsive and available when required.
For example, this happened a couple of days ago at about midnight my time and I was able to solve the issue within two rounds of being notified.

As a collective we try our best to help the player base have an enjoyable time whilst playing the server and honestly I think that unless there was a rota based system (which would be ridiculous) this cannot really be solved.

The thing is Jake everyone has uni/work going on now so that might lead less admins online on the JB server. What u can do here is just report them on the forums in the report section here. Just record a demo of the round and they will be banned permanently by hell admins.

I get that the report section might go slow but everyone is busy with their life. What u also can do is add some HeLL admins/payadmins in your friendlist and if they are online just text a message and they will come online and deal with the trollers. This happend a week ago where the GP trolls came online in the middle of the day and some players from JB just messaged me on steam and I came online and banned the trollers.

I get that it might be boring for you guys on the server but we do our best to get online and deal with the rule breakers. Not everyone has 24/7 time to play JB or any other game. You just gotta be patient with it...

 

Ya, im glad the situation was fixed. I was wondering due to the fact that many other servers, whether it be a normal deathmatch, Dust maps, JB, ZE/ZM/ZR, have an admin online at all times.

The other thing i was mainly refering to was not admins on in the middle of night but during the day/ evening. The server had 35-40 people on yesterday and we went a while with no admins. I realize that it is nearly impossible to have an admin on at ALL times.

 

Normally I would be on at that times but I was busy at work, so yeah. Just message on hell discord / steam pm to admins and they will come online. Due the holidays some admins might be busy with family, holiday, etc...

 

Payadmins aren't machines, neither are hell members, I admit the votectban system is flawed and ct's can ban terrorists and the same person can votectban anyone as much as they want but I mean for it being this time of year when nearly everyone is home with their family its pretty good that it was only two rounds, even then if you record a demo and post it on forums they get perm ct banned aswell so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Instead of looking in a direction of getting more admins increasing the staff maybe look towards fixing some issues that are already there to begin with, Maybe adding a ct whitelist that only players who sign on forums can use, maybe removing the fact the same player can spam votectban as much as they like or adding some sort of automute whenever someone says n*gger or n*gga in chat, theres plenty other ways to solve problems other than just adding more fuel to the fire.

 

Since I am back, you will see me on a lot, and if I am not on, I am always a message away Jake. Living in Australia gives me an advantage to be on when most admins would be sleeping
