I'm sure everyone is aware about this, but the FastDL server has been down for around 4 days now and it is surely effecting player numbers. I am making this thread because I was wondering if there was a status update as to what the problem may be and when it is expected to be resolved? Is there anything I can do to help? I am familiar with dedicated server and web server management if support is required there.
FastDL is down because the host is upgrading the OVZ platform. They mentioned in email communication that it would take a few hours to complete the migration but it didn't. Might've fucked up somewhere since it's still offline. I cannot access anything on the FastDL server yet, I'd rather they successfully migrate it keeping the server files and the IP. It would be some work if I was to recreate FastDL server to host all maps used on HeLL servers. I do not require any help at this time, the problem isn't related our server management but rather the host.
FastDL server was recreated. Fast Downloads should be working normally for all servers. Any issues please post them here.
@Nomy when I tried to change ZE to ze_boredom_v31415 it said Map missing. I could not get the active maps of ZM and MG as well. Do the servers need restart?
It's working fine for me but I was playing with someone just now and this showed in console when we switched to battleforce_xmas: "[Disconnect] Player: LukcyBastard88 (STEAM_*********) [Legit Steam] IP: ********** Reason: Map is missing". Maybe non-UK players still have difficulty? Anyway just thought I'd make you aware.
From my console: happens to me across devices. A PC that I have never played ZE on has the same issue but is able to download the other ZE content. I have downloaded and unpacked the map from fastdl.hellclan.co.uk which fixes the issue for the device I put the map on, not the other device.
Unfortunately didnt work. It appears that only the HeLL servers are not working for me. Since FastDL is only I can just download the maps manually from there.
No, this isnt the solution. We need to get to the bottom of this and get it fixed. Also, looking at Jingle's post seems that you aren't the only one.
@Nomy ZM: MG: Scout: Also it doesnt really downloads the maps, it just sort of skips them (I see the bar being half full before the message of the missing map comes).
Just now: "[Disconnect] Player: Sharky (STEAM_0:1*******) [Legit Steam] IP: ******* Reason: Map is missing". Time 16:51 if you want to check it in the logs.. The player retried with the same message twice and was unable to join.
