Well I have no idea about your budget but the cpu isn't anything to brag about..... DDR3, bad caches, low bandwiths etcetc its a 5 year old cpu... CPU's are more than just frequency and their core count

Also the socket type will force you to buy new mb with new cpu and the RAM has weird keying that wont fit 99% of motherboards.

Also gonna guess that the psu is non modular...

Btw if you didnt notice the cpu's are discontinued from 2014

You wouldnt have no idea what kinda potato hes been using too, for him this might be a huge jump and so something to brag about but for others it might not be a big deal. There will always be someone out there who would make your build look like baby compared to theirs. Regardless, happy for you for your new build @JoJo.

@JoJo yeah sry to be spoilsport. I just hoped you might Be able to get it refunded or even bit of money back.

Seriously you could have gotten some newer cpu from box and a motherboard that has upgrade possibility.

Right now if you get 10 series gpu it will Be horribly bottlenecked.

So if you get 700 series gpu it might Be able to run some stuff on acceptable levels. Just make sure your psu has proper moduls for it. If it doesnt have pcie connrctor try to look for something like gtx745

Hey guys so this is the pc (OPTIPLEX 7010)
    images (1).jpeg

I was thinking about putting an intake fan on the front on top of the hard drive cage because my hdd gets hot while using because my country is also hot but in my room has air conditioning, So do you guys think i would be able to fit in a 120mm fan in there or do i need a small one?

We wouldn't know. You have a Dell branded pc so maybe not. And maybe your board won't have a spare fan socket or a spare molex.

But you can always try to measure and see if it would fit. Make sure there are holes for the screws.

yeah the motherboard doesn't have any fan headers but it doesn't matter because i am gonna put in a new PSU in there and connect with a molex, what if there is no hole to screw the fan though, would double sided tape work?

No, it might come off easily. If you don't want to drill new holes, you can maybe use the smallest zip ties but also use some thick rubber band between the case and fan to prevent rattle.

In this video at 12 minute he has the same pc as mine and he managed to fit a fan in the case and stick it with some double sided tape but he cut off a square metal from the front and of course i will not do that but i think the fan can fit in place with that tape

Bro this is not the way to go. This hardware won't last long since it is already used and very old and outdated. The GPU in this video though obviously will since it is still pretty new, 3 years old or so.. I honestly suggest saving some money from your payslip each month and using that to contribute to a much better and newer PC that can run almost all games on 144+ fps. If you are passionate about gaming, then you should not worry about spending more money to make something better. I do not know your financial situation, your country's economy nor your current employment status but if you DO have the possibility of making this possible, I honestly suggest re-selling those pieces and wait to build something better that will last you 8+ years with amazing performance.

I totally agree with your post but it might be a bit late. This thread was made during summer 2019.
