    Hello

So, lately I have a problem with my gaming laptop. I have lagg/frame drops on almost every high game like: PUBG, Apex Legends, GTA V even Fortnite... This is weird because when I bought my gaming laptop at the first time I had no lagg/frame drops on PUBG and GTA V, Fortnite.. So everything is fine when I start the game like PUBG: but when I get into the lobby or ingame I'm getting frame drops for some reasons and I can't fix this, I should be able to play on high settings now I'm playing on medium/low and i'm still getting frame drops. And sometimes my screen just freezes and can't do anything for a few seconds..

I'm not a tech-guy thats why I'm asking you guys for help. Any tips to fix this or do I have to go to the store where I bought it.? I hope u guys can help me out because I don't want to send it back to the store because I'll lose all my files/projects from my uni...

    Gaming laptop specs:
    Processor: Intel(R) Core i57300HQ CPU
    Windows 10 Home
    NVDIA Geforce GTX 1050

Hope some of you can help me out.

    How old is the device?
Have you installed new software recently (or fancy upgrades to existing ones) or is your hard drive almost full?

try checking tempatures, if too high maybe change thermal paste or get a better cooler, you have the option to download more ram if needed, clean from dust and possible spiders, never update windows

Windows 10 has a reset feature. This rules out a lot of things and might solve the issues, it did for me recently.

Go to restart and hold shift, then when it restarts keep holding shift and you will see "reset Windows" go to that, then "reset (it's that or 'reinstall', can't remember) but keep files". You won't lose your files but you'll have to reinstall all apps. You'll have a fresh installation of Windows.

It's not even 6 months old...

What has frame drops to do with Windows? You think the frame drops comes from Windows?

Can stem from windows changing how things internally work but you are right - it shouldnt. (on the other hand we are talking about Windows here)
You can check with taskmanager if any other programs are using up CPU, Memory or Disk Speed and close them when they are not needed.
Also games like you mentioned get updates regulary which can lead to fragmentation of the game files pretty fast. You could try fixing that by reinstalling a game and see if the FPS drop disappears.

Did all of the games you mentioned had the issues in the same time period, like a week, all of a sudden? That could indicate a hardware issue.

windows can cause more than frame drops, if for some reason a windows app would be using your cpu it would cause lag, a virus could have entered into your enormous hard drive or ssd, some heavy programs could also be using your cpu like hans said, task manager is easiest way to check, the
Nvidia GeForce Experience sometimes uses alot of ram and cpu if you are using it, you can also stop programs from running at startup by using msconfig

It could caused be any of your programs or settings, hidden programs, services, updates etc.. Reinstalling the OS gives you a blank slate so if the problem still happens it is likely to be a hardware issue.

..You could do a Recovery to before the frame drops started happening and that would give you a similar result in narrowing down the cause.
