LR gun toss rules

Can anyone link my the rule regarding strafing (if it is a rule)..

Or if anyone from HeLL can let me know its a unwritten rule or w/e.. thanks

I'm sure he doesn't mind me posting that.

It seems that normal gun toss is simply: pick a spot, forward with W, jump, throw, furthest gun wins.. anything else is custom, including strafing and the invisible wall on spy.

I always thought normal guntoss was basically anything thats not knifetoss. Guess Im wrong

Normal guntoss was always like from the spot then jump and the further gun wins.

 

I still think normal should include strafing because it's just part of a jump in my eyes (leave it to the bhop/climb nerd) but what nomy says is what nomy says.

 

I see where you're coming from, but wait until a warden commands the pool jump on minecraft. At most 1 in 8 players make the jump i.e. can strafe, that gives you an 87.5% chance of winning in any given gun toss if you can strafe well. And actually.. if you pick players you know can't strafe, it's essentially 100%.

 

And yet that game is allowed :thinking:

 

Yeah games are supposed to wittle down the Ts until 2 are left. LR is supposed to be a fair 1 versus 1 (right?).

 

Well it is fair if you're both allowed to strafe. And also the games the Ts have to play are supposed to be fair as well.

 

If you can strafe and they can't, your chances of winning are 100%. I don't think that's fair do you? Now if they can refuse because they can't strafe, that's fair.

Well anyone can strafe, just because they don't know how doesn't necessarily make it unfair. If I don't know how to drop my gun then your chances of winning gun toss are 100%, doesn't seem very fair? But it's just because I don't know how to do something, not because the game is actually skewed in anyone's favor.

 

I think and thought normal guntoss is jumping off your spray and dropping the gun theres no rule on not strafing and iv never been told by admins players about this so I find it not really custom in my eyes and you don't have to strafe to win most the time you can win just using w...

]Ok so im so confused on this as every one saying different things still half the pa are saying it is still custom and saying nomy saying it is custom like what jingle has posted and then the other half saying its normal still like what wild said so what is it ? as people keep getting slain for it while thinking it normal and that???? @Nomy @WildFire

 

What if for exmple the t chooses the spot with invisible wall on spy_vs_spy, can i as ct refuse to do guntoss there?.
