Yes. I would not consider myself a fan of turn based games either, FF is the only real exception I've made to this. It's also worth mentioning the cinematics are incredible graphically considering the year the game was made. Another idea, arguably the most successful RPG of all time, World of Warcraft. I used to play this back when it was the BC expansion and it was undoubtedly the best game I've ever played. I tried getting back into it recently but they've made a lot of changes and hardly anyone actually plays the game any more, or at least PvP, where the battleground queues are 12+ mins when they used to be instant. Could still be worth checking out.
Path of Exile is online, you can trade and party with others if you want to not have a solo experience.
On my second play at witcher 3 playing the newgame+ feature (gear and levels are kept, new gear upgrades) i do think its a must try game tbh give it a go, love the impact actions take in the game, how it affects the actuall gameplay, the combat system is quite good, and the plot man, i didnt play the first 2 games but i badly want to, that plot is fucking adictive Btw dunno if you know the series but Kingdom Hearts, man this game brings so many memories its my nº1 game so my opinion is heavily biased, but the plot is really entertaining, the game can be easily beaten but hard difficulty really means its hard (just mashing buttons aint gonna get u anywhere on the game unless you get way overleved). Imo the only problem is the plaform issue, since the games are scattered around all sorts of platforms, from consoles to portable consoles and even smartphones, you have to go to a little bit of trouble to play the games with installing the emulators and all. The only fix on this issue is either having a ps3 or ps4 since they got the remastered versions of the games there.
I was going to suggest that too though I think the OP does not have a playstation. The new one is PS4 / Xbox One and had a release date on Amazon of December this year.. with other sources saying around the same time I think. The first two on ps2 are great games anyway, the soundtrack is incredibly nostalgic.
The whole universe of the game is the main characters world + a mishmash of disney worlds with final fantasy characters as plot characters and sidebosses of the game, if you play the games you will undestand why the disney characters are there, the plot is really well explained tbh its just a nostalgic game to the core, remembering a lot of childhood movies along the way. And yeah, i forgot to say 2 things: 1st the ost is just perfect. 2nd if u end up playing the games, play them by release and not by chronologica order pls, but if you do be aware, the second game (KH chains of memories) is really bad, like the worst game ever, play it for the plot only otherwise dont bother! the combat system is really dumb and bad, all other games have the same combat system that one is the exception
The witcher 3 wild hunt is the best RPG game i can think of , great story and game play i think you gone like it
