Xbox 360 Controller for PC

HI GUYS! trying to install xbox controllers for my pc so I can play CSS. Ran into trouble and can't get it to work, anyone kno what to do or what software is needed.
Any help appreciated B)

 

I just wanna try it out, see if its an improvement on my laptop touchpad...
Going to get a proper mouse soon

unless you are playing driving games or flying games controllers are worthless but if u want to use the controller u must plug the usb in and go to settings and set each key with the controller have fun getting pwned

 

Playing MoH on xbox 360, going pretty good

Much better than a touchpad Well I would of thought so, I think I've seen a few free programs about that act as drivers for the 360 controller- microsoft might even do one?

Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Add a Device. Make sure its plugged in and turned on when you do this.

 

Don't you need xpadder? and then with a wireless pad you need a wireless addapter or wired you just plug into your usb slot... but i don't think it's compatable with css.

 

if the controller is wireless you need microsoft's xbox dongle for PC
if wired than it will be auto detected in win vista and 7

thats where i got mine from, works a charm for driving games such as dirt 2, also just cause 2 etc... awesome bit of kit, like playing a super xbox with amazing graphics lol... but year, mouse and keyboard for anything online fps-wise
