MOTD playing in the background

Alot of times when I join a HeLL server the MOTD is "stuck"
Means that the video ad thats in MOTD still plays after joining a server and makes a lot of in-game lag. This only seems to happen to certain players(?)
To make the lag stop, you have to type 'motd' again in chat to click OK on the window.

Reporting this cause there was 3 players today when I joined that taught Steam was the problem, cause even if you restart Steam/CS:S this happens again(most of the time)

You can also disable HTML MOTD's in multiplayer advanced options, just be sure to re-enable it once a fix is up.

The MOTD sometimes doesn't appear for me and just continues playing in the background, I just re-join and it stops.

 

The motd add gets stuck their because it is a video playing and when motd opens it loads the video. This gives every1 time to spam enter and then the add loads and plays in th background. This is what i find happening to me all the time

 

The normal 'symptoms' are that you go from normal FPS to a low FPS, then back to normal.

 

I go from Normal FPS+High ping --> Low FPS, low ping --> And it starts over.
SImply because my download speed is so slow

 

Temporary workaround: If you're still having this problem just say !motd and you can then stop the ad playing.

 

If you press enter AFTER the video starts playing, the problem doesn't occur
