I'd say Mars would win it :/ Possibly a good idea.But what I noticed,and maybe others,is especially on the DR server after the event it was dead as always.People just partipate for the prizes,not for the good game.Sad really.
Hey guy's, Can we make this clear? Tournament or an Event? Event: Summit I'll do occasionally or Any other Player will host and there will be a prize. Unless it's a tourny, anything towards surf will fail... Yes I'm referring to surf saturday and which is something I refused to believe until I saw surf saturday.. Unless you make it a tournament, people won't bother.. they might not even bother if it's tourny, people find surf boring and lame , according to some opinions I've tried to collect while attempting to make a competition/event before
We should spread tournies, not too fast over another. Events could be done once in a week or once in 2 weeks, depending if someone wants to organise something.
for you, for me, for a couple of other people.. but not for regs.. you like it cuz you tried it and.. well, liked it but people call it lame and boring because they may have tried it once or twice in the past, failed at it and just built that bad idea about it in their minds, yet I think surf requires a lot of skill tbh..
^^ Bhoppers. Jump spam, all to keep going fast and make strange multi looping moves, thats how all pros do it. People that doont know will go too slow and die easily
I started playing surf on HeLL with all the pros and it got me where I am now. If you play with noobs 24/7 you will never learn any new tricks.. You just have to be patient when it comes how to smooth surf and gain speed. It's not like any other game mode when you can almost learn it 100% in a day. Once you learn the basic surfing technique you can easily avoid the pros on any maps. You just need to find ways around them.. Oh and also, if it's spawn killing or spawn hopping that you are talking about "the pros", as I see it daily on the server, you just record a demo and report on the report section as it is against the rules...
Is that against the rules? Cause some surf maps make you teleport above the späwn area, making t easy to shoot those peoples. Is that allowed or not?
That is not against the rules as if they have had time to reach the end of the map to teleport back to spawn, they enemy (you) must of had time to get out of spawn themselves... Spawn hopping / killing is normally when people boost off their spawn by using spawn teleport triggers and then surfing round to the opposing side. It's kinda hard to explain but hopefully you understand what it means by spawn killing.
Your point is invalid. I know how to surf well, yet I don't find it as entertaining as the Football server and thus don't play surf. (Not that I don't play CS:S anymore)
