The task is simple. Find me links to every single piece of the most powerful computer possible to buy for under £1200. I will be purchasing a new PC nearer Christmas. The person that can find the best power-to-pound custom PC will get a generous Christmas present from me. And for looking around for compatible parts for a bit, it will be generous. You may have to remind me nearer the time though. Go go go!

Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM, 1TB, 21.5" ^This can be done for ALOT less than 1200. You can build a beast PC for this much money.
Don't need no present, I just like creating builds for others. Have you got any special sites you want to order from? Also, will you be overclocking? This is what I made, I'll explain each part: Case: One of the best cases out there for it's money, I think it's a must have for that budget. HDD: Just a regular HDD, took 2TB as it's not much more expensive than 1TB. RAM: I chose 16GB so you won't have to upgrade for a while, also DDR4 isn't really out yet and will be expensive and you would need the 2011 platform for that. (Mobo's and CPU's are more expensive on that platform.) SSD: Just a SSD for your OS and Games, it's faster than a HDD. PSU: Added a 750W PSU 80+ bronze rated. Your system will be fine with 550/650W, but with the 750W one you won't have to upgrade for a while. CPU: I chose for a non-K version as I don't know wether you will overclock it or not. I also picked i7 as your budget allows it. If you want to save like 70 pounds, you could go with an i5. Mobo: One of the best quality motherboards for that price range, I like it myself (haven't got it tho) and allows overclocking. GPU: Currently the best one out there and doesn't use a lot of power. Note: If you want to overclock, you will have to replace your CPU by one marked with K at the end and you should add-on an aftermarket cooler. Also, some of these products are currently on sale on amazon, but I'm sure there will be new Christmas-sales at the time when you will buy them. If you want to save a few pounds, you could take a 120GB SSD instead and 8GB RAM instead of 16GB. An i5 would also do the job.
For gaming, not yet. But as his budget allows it, why not? Hopefully you didn't just watch the picture but also took time to read as I said he could also downgrade to an i5 if he wants to game only and save a few pounds.
This is the set up I have brought recently Can tweak bits to bring it under £1200 like get rid of the thermal paste, change the ram speeds to make it cheaper and also a case you like.
I will try and post an overclockable setup later today when I get home. --- Double Post Merged, Oct 27, 2014, Original Post Date: Oct 27, 2014 --- Alright. This build is more bang for the buck. 1) Top of the line GPU's, nothing wrong with it. Benchmark result (vs AMD 290X, the 295X2 is not worth the money, also has a big power consumption: 2) Most popular processor, also best one for overclocking in the i5 series. If you aren't going to overclock, the i5 4570 is your best bang for the buck choice, saving money. 3) Great quality motherboard, allows for overclocking and upgradeability. 4) Not one of the best SSD's, but it is cheaper thus better bang for the back SSD. If you want to get a faster one, I recommend the Samsung 840 EVO for a decent price. 5) 8GB DDR3 @1600Mhz, will do the job fine. If you want, you could upgrade to 16GB of RAM. 6) Has good cooling abilities for overclock. A possible downside is that I've heard the fan is loud when you set it on Auto Mode (It has custom software by Corsair) 7) 80+ rated 750W, will do the job fine for your system with overclock. 8) Normal 2TB hard drive, nothing special about it, does the job. 9) This comes down to your personal preference. I'd go for a Fractal Design R4 myself or the NZXT H440 but the first one is not available on the site so you will have to order seperately. The NZXT H440 fits your budget and you could take that instead.
