Computer is consistently crashing in CS:GO, finally come to the conclusion that the only reason left is that my BIOS and Chipset need an update the issue is I have no idea how to do so and when I read into it sounds technical and risky, with one website citing that if I do it wrong I would end up having to buy a whole new motherboard which I'm not in the habit of doing anytime soon.

Any chance I could get a toned down east to understand step by step guide?

    Motherboard; ASUS® P8Z77-V LX: USB 3.0, SATA 6GBs, ATI®CrossFireX

If it's just CS:GO then I highly doubt it's the BIOS. I don't even think BIOS can interfere with any game.

So what exactly happens? The game crashes or the monitor turns off?

Im not sure to be quite honest with you, the monitor just goes to a black screen with a message saying that it has no signal yet the computer it still running. The only way to get it working again is by restarting the PC.

I have a strong feeling about the power not being sufficient while you are playing games. Tell us your PSU.

    --- Double Post Merged, Sep 15, 2014, Original Post Date: Sep 15, 2014 ---
I think its 600W anyway, ive got a sneaking suspicion I might have installed a 450W instead. I'll open her up later in the week.

That sounds like a cheap PSU. Quad rails... Single rail is better.
If you want to try, you could try swapping your PSU and see if its any better.

Do not buy fake/cheap PSUs. Go for known brands like coolermaster, corsair, antec, etc.

I don't remember corsair having quad rail PSUs... Try opening the side panel and you may see it...
